Chips and fish

When we are at home, Liem has to eat fish first then chips. This usually results in a tantrum or two, a few time outs before he complies. Unfortunately he got away with eating just chips and a tiny bite of fish here.

Day out in Melbourne

Took the train to Melbourne one day to meet up with some friends. Liem travelled well mostly. Only nap he had the whole day was a 20 minute cat nap in the stroller. He had fun playing with sticks with his new friend Ori from Japan.

On the beach

To me, beaches usually imply warm sand, cool seawater, hot sunshine... Beaches at Torquay can be all those things on occasion. More often they are COLD with freezing winds blowing in from Antarctica.

We got Liem to the beach a few times although he was really reluctant on the last day. I was determined to get him into the water but he was equally determined NOT to. He didn't even want to walk on the sand with his bare feet! Daddy swung into action - dumping Liem into the water. Liem loved it! Cried when we had to leave. I guess I could see that coming.

Presents!

37 cars for Christmas - one of which can change into a tiger. You would think someone had more than enough presents for Christmas!

Sleep glorious sleep

Ah....Christmas is such an exciting time of year...all those presents to open, all the food to eat.... It all gets too much sometimes.... sometimes we just need a good sleep. Merry Christmas everyone!

Being read to

Liem now enjoys being read to. Here he and Oliver are being read to by Aunty My Anh and Uncle Saba. Daddy also reads to Liem. Mummy read The Gingerbread Man three times one day. Liem liked it because the gingerbread man got eaten in the end.

Setting up the Christmas tree

Liem was very good on the plane both ways for this trip. Of course, he did have a crocodile and a polar bear to play with on the way there, and a little car and a little bus to play with on the way back.

Here we are setting up the Christmas tree. Liem and his cousin Oliver helped quite a bit. What good boys! They even waited until Christmas day before opening the presents.
