Paddling on the Nepean

This morning we went for a paddle on the Nepean River. We usually drive over it on the bridge when we go to Melbourne and I've always seen it from the bridge and thought it was really beautiful. Never thought I would actually get to paddle on it. Lots of water dragons, birds - lots of fun. Liem and Adam also got a chance to have a paddle by themselves. We went downstream for a bit, but it started to rain. Sheltered a bit in a cave, but then left to go back home. So happy we got a chance to see it.

Yena Track, Cape Solander

Last weekend Liem and I went for a bush walk on the Yena Track at Cape Solander. It started out quite wide and Liem was commenting that it was hardly a bush walk. The trail got smaller and smaller and soon Liem was letting me lead because it meant I would walk into all the cobwebs and clear them before he got there. Liem enjoyed walking through the puddles with his new boots, unfortunately, he got a blister by the end of the walk. We saw butterflies, little birds, flowers, berries and two snakes - one alive and one dead. The live one gave us a bit of a start but it was probably more scared of us than we were scared of it.
