Get wost and shut up

"Get wost!" I hear Liem say one morning. "Shut up!" he continues. I was shocked to hear this sort of language. I'm sure I've never said anything like that to him. Later on, I hear him again, "Get wost, said the dog to the monkey. Shut up, said the monkey to the dog." Then I realised that he was repeating what he had heard from a book called "The Adventure of Momotaro, The Peach Boy", which we got from some friends in Japan. The offending page is shown as proof! Amazing what he picks up...

Liem and the fire engine

We went to a spring fair at a primary school and there was a fire engine there. Liem was so happy so be able to climb inside to have a little sit and have a look around. I don't think he wanted to come out again. After we went home he said he wanted to go to the fair again so that he could see the fire engine.

Liem and dumpling

We went to a yum cha place in Chinatown where Liem had quite a few dumplings. Don't think we'll be going back there since no Chinese go there now.

Long body, short legs

That's what Liem has....how do we know this? Size 3-4 tops, size 6 singlets (fat tummy), size 2 pants! I think he's inherited it from one side of the family...

Day out with Daddy

I have been getting sick quite a bit lately. Each time for more than a week with a lingering cough that takes ages to go away. The only way to get rest at home is for Khiem to take Liem out so I can have a sleep at home. Here he is, having a great time at the beach and then proceeding to have a huge muffin and two large sushi rolls. At home, I get a text message saying, "Do you not feed this child?"
