Day out at Chinatown and Darling Harbour

What a lovely day to be out. Liem had his morning nap in the car just as we were about to reach the city - we ended up sitting for quite a while in the car park waiting for him to wake up. Liem enjoyed the fish dumplings at Daniang Dumplings on Dixon Street. He also loved the playground at Darling Harbour, got very hot and thirsty and then had buckets of fun playing with the water spouts. Thanks once again to Ai Leen for the lovely photos.

Night out

Our first night out without the screaming banshee going off.

Mr Fussy

From loving all kinds of fruit, Liem now wants ONLY strawberries.

Behind the counter

Ever wondered what goes on behind the counter at a Chinese restaurant? In this one, there's a day care centre! Your child can steal oranges, watch dvds, play with other kids and even eat chips!

Ai Mie and Mark visit

Ai Mie and Mark come for a visit. It's really nice to have relatives and friends visit, check out the house and have yum cha. This is the life...

Ai Leen stays with us

Ai Leen is staying with us for a little while...it's been great having her here! The extra person in the house just takes the pressure off us when Liem demands attention (often by touching the bin or twiddling the knobs on the oven, things that he knows he's not supposed to do).

Kiss kiss

The smudge in front of Liem is where he just kissed the window. I wonder what or who else he's been kissing?

Chinese food

Liem loves law mai kai (glutinous rice with chicken wrapped in lotus leaf) - he can eat a whole parcel all by himself! And he also had some gau choi (garlic chive) dumpling - dumpling skin had to be taken off. And he loves tofu and prawn crackers AND eggplant with pork and salted fish! I'm really pleased that he likes to eat Chinese food. Was getting worried that he would be a "chips and cake" boy (although he also loves chips and cake). Now that he's had a taste of yummy food, all the mashed potatoes, pumpkin, peas, etc are probably not going to get eaten... Thanks to Ai Leen for the photos.
