Hair cut

Liem has just had a hair cut. Now the little rascal really looks like a little rascal.

Eating with chopsticks!

Here's Liem eating sushi with chopsticks! He's using the wrong end of the chopsticks though.

Scooter for Christmas!

Liem got a toy scooter for Christmas and loves it! Thanks Ai Leen and Ai Mie! He can ride it around the house, it plays "Mary had a little lamb" and "Twinkle twinkle little star" and it has a little storage compartment under the seat! What else does a little boy need?

Holding his bottle

Things have been so much easier since Liem learnt to hold the bottle for himself. Five minutes of peace! He does like to cover his face sometimes with whatever is handy....

Playground antics

Liem didn't use to like the swing. See At the playground post. He loves it now! He also loves the slide and the rocking whale. His legs would also mysteriously work again and he can walk to the playground.

Once when some other children came to play at the playground, Liem ran screaming to the whale to chase away a little boy. The poor little boy went to sit on the swing and Liem then ran screaming to the swing. It wasn't even the swing that he could use! I had to take Mr Don't-Know-How-To-Share home in shame after that.

At the beach

Getting Liem to the beach was a problem because his legs would mysteriously give way whenever we headed for the beach. Once he was there though, he loved it. He particularly loved demolishing Mummy and Daddy's sandcastles with his spade.

Overtired

Liem was so excited at staying in a new place that he didn't have enough sleep in the afternoons. That made him overtired and extremely cranky. We took him for a walk in the pram and he fell asleep and continued to sleep even after we got home.

Presents everywhere!

Not sure how it happened but our suitcases came home bulging even worse than before we left. Santa brought lots of presents for Liem and Oliver.

Three generations of Trans

It takes three generations of Trans to get the tv working. Once the tv was working, the tv addict had his eyes glued to the set.

Oh, and why does Liem have a big bandage on his leg? It's because of a MOSQUITO BITE! It swelled up quite a bit and Liem scratched and scratched it until it bled. I put several band aids on it but Liem kept pulling them off and scratching some more. After changing bloody sheets three times in a row, we got a bandage and wrapped it over his band aid to stop Liem from pulling off the band aid and hopefully helping the raw area to heal up.

The Demolitions Engineer

We have just come back from Christmas / New Year holidays at Torquay where Grandma and Grandpa have built a new house. Liem was dubbed "The Demolitions Engineer" by Grandpa due to the large number of things he destroyed. He broke one wooden green caterpillar, one porcelain plate, tore off 2 flaps from the "ABC Lift a Flap" book, completely tore out two pages and partway through two pages of the "Little Hands FRUITS" book, tore newspapers and sales catalogs. Also the tough yellow digger from the "Rainbow Trucks" book doesn't look so tough anymore since it lost its digging arm. Liem looks blankly at us when we tell him, "You have to be GENTLE, Liem".
