While we were at Gymea Bay, we saw a man catch three squid. Thus inspired, Liem drew this comic.

Eggs...

At the end of the school year, Liem brings home all the worksheets and exercise books that he's used throughout the year. I found this in his science exercise book. Liem had drawn pictures for an egg doing an "eggsam", an egg that is "eggcited" and an egg that is "eggstra strong". He had also answered a question using his new egg-terminology, but looks like his science teacher didn't find it as funny as I did...

Walk from Old School Park to Gymea Bay

We have slowly been exploring the little parks and reserves around our area and finding little gems. This was a walk recommended by our neighbour and really very nice.

Taronga Zoo

It's the school holidays and we are off for two weeks. We made a trip to Taronga Zoo and it was really quite pleasant, not too hot, surprisingly not too many people there...saw lots of cute animals...

Academic Award

We were happy this year to be able to make it to the school Presentation Day to see Liem receive his academic award. Very proud of him...

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth....
