Balloon

Liem was sick on the weekend. He was MR GRUMPY - whinging, whining, crying for no reason... We went out for yum cha at Lucky Dragon and they gave him a balloon. He was Mr Happy after that. We were told that Liem is "always smiling". We could only smile tightly after that.

Waving

We have been trying to teach Liem to wave bye-bye for months. Every morning the conversation would go something like this:
Daddy: Bye bye Mummy! (Wave at Mummy)
Mummy: Bye bye Daddy! (Wave at Daddy)
Daddy: Bye bye Liem! (Wave at Liem and wait for his response...)
Nothing...no wave...for months...

Now, he waves...all the time...with both hands....and often at the wrong person (not the one actually leaving)....sigh...

Oh, and check out his bottom teeth.... it's really hard trying to get a good photo of his teeth.... I must have tried at least 6 times and sometimes I got the side of his head or the top of his head or worse his head wasn't even in the photo... 4 teeth now...2 at the bottom and 2 at the top.

Big tummy

The trouble with having a big fat tummy is that pants that fit at the waist are often too long at the bottom. Pants get stepped on and sometimes fall right down. HOI!

Escaping his bath

This is little Liem trying to escape from having a bath.

Grace and Liem

We went to visit Michelle and Anthony who've just had baby Grace. Liem took over Grace's playmat and ate all her toys. Oh, the shame.

Two spoons

Liem thinks he's feeding himself but he's really only holding a spoon in each hand so that mummy or daddy can feed him with a third spoon.

A great idea

Thanks to Sarah for the great idea of using nappy boxes as compartments in Liem's cupboard. Everything looks neater already.....well...until little Liem gets there.

Why do we bother?

I don't know why we even bother sterilising Liem's bottles when he puts all sorts of shoes, slippers and socks in his mouth.
