Clown

Sometimes I wonder whether I've given birth to a clown.

Good effort

Good effort, Liem.... but you still haven't quite got it yet. See also Rings.

Grandparents Oct 06

Ah Kong and Ah Por are back. Liem wakes up from his afternoon nap, sees them and straightaway gives them kisses and cuddles. That's it...they are gone! Completely smitten!

The hat that Liem chose

This is the hat that Liem chose. Mummy wanted to get the hat that was reversible so that Liem could wear a blue hat or a brown hat. Liem threw that hat on the floor and put on this one. So we had to buy this one and not the lovely reversible one. Sigh.

Couch potato

Liem and Mummy watching The Wiggles. Couch potato in the making?

Water bottle

We bought Liem a water bottle and were really proud that he learnt quite quickly how to suck with the straw. This is because I had been trying to teach him to drink from the cup for months and months with no luck. Was getting worried that he would be 10 years old and still using the milk bottle... aiyoh... The first day we gave the water bottle to him, he wouldn't let go of it. If we took it away from him to fill it up with more water, he would shriek and carry on. He also drank so much water that day that he had nappy failure. These photos are from the second day he had the water bottle.... still not letting go but the novelty was starting to wear off already. We are at the Botanic Gardens in Wollongong.

The question that describes Liem

This question that contains only four words fully describes Liem ever since he was born although the emphasis changes with time.
0 - 2 weeks old: constant crying in the night from about 11 pm to morning. "WHY is he crying?"
2 weeks - 6 months: crying before going to sleep, evening crying for about 2 hours every day. "Why IS he crying?"
6 months - 1 year: still crying before going to sleep, waking up several times a night. "Why is he CRYING?"
1 year onwards: head butts Mummy on the lips then cries, whacks Daddy on the head twice then cries, hits Mummy on the leg with the recorder then cries. "Why is HE crying?"
