The little thief 2

A few weeks ago, Liem stole an apple from the lady at day care. Today we were at Lucky Dragon having yum cha. It wasn't very busy at the time so Liem was allowed to crawl on the floor. The lady owner and her two children were keeping an eye on him. I watched him disappear behind the counter, then heard a few startled "He's eating it!"s and thought, "Oh oh, what's he done now?". The little thief had stolen an orange and bitten right into it a few times. He was even chewing the bits of rind although he spat them out after a while. Oh dear...I don't think I like this habit of stealing fruit from other people...

If you can't get out...

If you can't get out of your playpen, just push the playpen until you get to where you want to go.

What a mess!

Liem loves pulling his books off the bookshelf. The box in front of the bookshelf that's supposed to stop him doesn't do its job very well.

One year old!

How time flies! Liem is a year old already! Here he is with his birthday apple slice (liked the apple, spat out the pastry) and his birthday chocolate cake (had a few mouthfuls and seemed to like it).

First hair cut

Little Liem had his first hair cut last weekend because his hair was starting to get into his eyes. Here is Daddy having a go with the clippers. And the final result - not a bad job actually.

The little thief

Two days ago little Liem stole an apple from the lady at his day care. He apparently carried it with him everywhere, rolled it on the floor and nibbled all around it. He even came home with it and continued to roll it on the floor and nibble at it. WELL! The little thief!

Liem has been waking up every night for the last two weeks (two or three times each night, unsettled, crying - Khiem and I are dead on our feet). We've just realised that Liem is probably still teething because:
1. he stole that apple (probably wanted something to bite)
2. his cheeks turned red yesterday
3. he's drooling like a mad dog.

How long does this teething business go on for anyway???? Isn't it supposed to get better after the first tooth comes out???
