Chocolate

Liem had some chocolate crackles at the joint birthday party we had for all the babies in my mother's group. He loves chocolate. In fact he has now learnt that brown things that he picks up from the floor are yummy to eat. And after that, it's great fun to wipe his chocolatey hands on his pants.

In fact, Liem loves cake as well. Who would have thought? Much nicer than the mashed veges and fruit that mum has been feeding him all along.

"He's taking, not stealing"

Liem's at it again. "Taking" fruit that doesn't belong to him. This time it was an apple belonging to a little girl that goes to the same day care he does. "He's taking, not stealing" says grandpa. I know it sounds like I'm not feeding him enough, but I AM!!!

New toys

Kids these days....have lots and lots of toys...the whole house in covered in their toys....and they get even more toys for their birthday. Mind you, I have at times requested for new toys because I just wanted something to keep Liem occupied for at least longer than 2 minutes before he wants to play with something else. Here's what he does when presented with a new toy: plays with the toy, eats the toy, plays with the box the toy came in then eats the box the toy came in.

Darling Harbour

Where do you go when you have a child and you are in the city? The playground at Darling Harbour, of course! That's where Liem practiced some walking, although he got tired after a while and went back to crawling. That's where we met some friends who were also in the city with their kids and their friends and kids.
