School photos

These are Liem's school photos from Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2. He's changed quite a bit in two years...his face has gone skinnier and longer. I guess the same could be said for the rest of his body too. He's growing up fast!

Prince Edward Park bushwalk

As part of the training for climbing Mount Kinabalu, we've tried to do more long walks on the weekends. This weekend Liem and I went for a walk through the Prince Edward Park from Sutherland to Woronora. We had a picnic by the river and then walked back. The walk back was heaps harder because it was uphill all the way. I had no idea I lived so close to such beautiful places...

Mother's Day gift

Liem chose a great gift for me for Mother's day from the school stall. I'm already using the mug, although haven't as yet had any of the chocolates in it. He hid it in a very safe place and while he was doing that, Daddy's birthday card (the first one that he made and couldn't find, so he had to make another one) "appeared out of nowhere". Now Daddy has two birthday cards and Mummy will have to search the "safe place" more carefully when things can't be found...

Wattamolla and Bundeena

There's something about Wattamolla beach that really says beauty and serenity to me. We've been there once before and made another trip here with the Allens. The kids had a great time in the water, we had a picnic lunch then headed off to Bundeena. The kids started inching their way closer and closer to the water and ended up drenched again. Oh well, fun was had by all....
